This guide is one half of the main tangible and transferable outcomes of the New Educations project. The other half of this package is the Course for Developing Transversal Skills of Students, which can also be downloaded from this New Educations web site. This New Educations Methodological Guide is a guide of good practices, elaborated by all the nine partners of the project, to support the teaching and learning of the following New Educations:
- Education for peace
- Health education
- Education for development
- Entrepreneurial education
- Education for democracy
- Civic education
- Ecological education
- Education for media and communication
- Education for leisure
This Guide contains the necessary methodological guidelines for activities for each of those theme as well as examples of good implementation. In this guide, the project furthermore aims to demonstrate also the importance of each education for developing transversal skills to students.
The Guide is available to all partners in an innovative electronic form as a didactic material for future activities with students/children/youngsters and for developing transversal skills at future generations and for continuous training of teachers/trainers. Results from activities in digital format - videos/recordings/audios/brochures/posters/pictures etc. - are included in the guide wherever these are relevant and available.
NOTE: this guide is available in two versions, the difference between both versions is only that in the large version (1,5 GB) the videos will play inside the document itself. For that version, you will need to have Flash installed on your computer. If you don't have Flash installed you can play the videos at all times as long as you are online from both the large and the small version. If you are unsure what version to chose, take the smaller version.
